More Information:

After exploring the Mayan world in the morning, pupils will work together to create a performance that brings the stories, myths, and lessons they’ve learned to life. In the afternoon, pupils act as narrators, guiding an audience—whether other year groups, peers, or parents and carers—back through time to experience the wonders of the Mayan civilization. This performance fosters confidence, teamwork, and a deep connection to the material.

For an alternative option, the afternoon can be dedicated to a craft-based activity. Pupils will apply their newfound knowledge to create woven Mayan charms or engage in a combination of scratch art and circular weaving. These crafts allow pupils to engage creatively with Mayan traditions and provide them with a tangible memento of their day of learning.
