The Tudors

Description

Step back in time to the tumultuous and thrilling Tudor era with this immersive workshop, designed to complement the KS2 History curriculum. “Take Me Back to The Tudors” brings to life the dramatic events, influential figures, and vibrant culture of Tudor England, making history feel as dynamic and engaging as the stories themselves.

Full Day

In the full-day workshop, the morning’s activities lay the groundwork for an afternoon performance, where pupils bring the Tudor era to life for an audience of other year groups, peers, or parents and carers. Pupils act as narrators, guiding their audience back through history to share what they’ve learned in a memorable and interactive way. This experience not only deepens their historical understanding but also builds teamwork, confidence, and storytelling skills.

Half Day (choose any 3)

In a half-day session, teachers can select any three fascinating topics to explore: the decisive Battle of Bosworth that ended the Wars of the Roses, the remarkable reign of Henry VIII and his six wives, Britain’s legendary triumph over the Spanish Armada, the life and times of Shakespeare, or the rise of British theatre. Each topic is explored through a blend of storytelling, movement, and group activities that allow pupils to embody and understand the era’s key events and personalities.
